PSAC ATLANTIC
BEHIND THE SCENES
The Public Service Alliance of Canada is one of Canada's largest unions. PSAC is truly a national union with members from coast to coast to coast, in every province and territory. We even have an international face with members working abroad in embassies and consulates.
The Atlantic Region represents almost 18,000 members organized in 208 locals.
PSAC ATLANTIC RESOURCES
PSAC Atlantic has resources available to all members!
PSAC ATLANTICE DIRECTLY CHARTERED LOCALS
The PSAC is comprised of 15 Components and Directly Chartered Locals (DCLs). DCLs represent members employed by private employers, municipal governments and the academic sector, just to name a few.
PSAC EDUCATION
The PSAC is proud to offer its members a union education program that ranks among the best and most comprehensive within the Canadian labour movement. Our various courses provide members with learning opportunities to develop knowledge, skills, and personal confidence. Union education encourages participation and promotes mutual respect and understanding between members and the union leadership. A trained membership is an active membership and active members build a strong union.
Our executive members and shop stewards have taken advantage of the training available to us. You as a member are also able to take advantage of these courses and learn more about your union and how it can work for you!
PSAC ATLANTIC EDUCATION
PSAC Atlantic offers an education program specifically for unions in the Atlantic region. Courses are available by province and cover topics such as 'Knowing my Union', 'Grievance Handling' and, 'Respectful Workplace & Anti-Harassment'. Contact us for information on how to signup for a course.
